How To Improve Your Work Meetings

Work meetings are a necessary evil, and many employees dread going to meetings. It can be the worst part of your day, especially when technology doesn’t want to cooperate. Here are a few things you can do, such as using audio visual projectors, to help improve the productivity and mood of your team meetings.

Choose the Right Time

Try not to interrupt employees in the middle of a project. Instead, schedule your meetings at the beginning or end of the day. If that doesn’t work, you can also schedule meetings for right before or after lunch. That way, your employees won’t have to stop in the middle of a task to go to a meeting only to return to their desks. You should also consider how often you have meetings. While regular meetings are helpful, consider if you can get the same information across in an email.

Use an Interesting Setup

If all you do is talk at your employees, they’re bound to get bored. So, make things interesting with some audio and visual tools. Create a presentation with your basic points, and you can add more to them when you speak. If you have a remote team, use some equipment that can handle voice and video calls so that everyone can hear you and each other. Make it fun and engaging.

Keep It Short

Even if you have interesting content, keep the meeting as short as possible. That way, everyone can stay engaged and avoid getting bored. If you have a lot of information to cover, go over the basics and give everyone a handout with the details. Everyone can read through it on their own time, so everyone can be more productive.

If you run a team, you know meetings are necessary. But they don’t have to be boring. Keep these things in mind next time you have to schedule a team meeting.
